Morgantown Poets ft. Author Patricia Hopper Patteson

Morgantown PoetsMorgantown-based author Patricia Hopper Patteson will be featured by Morgantown Poets at 7pm on Thursday, December 17 at Monongalia Arts Center (MAC). An open mic will follow immediately thereafter.

Patricia Hopper Patteson is a native of Dublin, Ireland. She earned a B.A. and M.A. from WVU.  She received honors from the WVU Creative Writing Program and also received numerous awards from the West Virginia Writers’ competition ranging from second place to honorable mention. Her fiction and non-fiction have appeared in Amore Magazine, Appalachian Heritage, Hamilton Stone Review, Ireland’s Own, Mist on the Mon, Woman, Woman’s Way, and Woman’s World.

Public parking is available near  MAC in the parking garage at the corner of Pleasant and Chestnut Streets and at the city lot behind 142 High Street (enter off Spruce). MAC is accessible to individuals with special mobility requirements; please call 304-292-3325 or email on the day of the event to schedule access.

Morgantown Poets is an informal not-for-profit, all-volunteer community group that meets 7-9 p.m. the third Thursday each month at the MAC, providing literary enthusiasts in north-central West Virginia the opportunity to express themselves, share their work, network, and to connect up-and-coming writers with more established authors.
