Trash to Treasure 2015

t-t logoMonongalia Arts Center (MAC)’s largest annual fundraiser, Trash to Treasure, will begin on Sept. 19. MAC will continue to accept tax-deductible item donations to the fundraiser through Sept. 18.

“One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.”

MAC’s largest annual fundraiser, the Trash to Treasure Sale is based on this idiom. With everything ranging from clothing, artwork, and kitchen supplies to books, music, and furniture, MAC’s Trash to Treasure Sale – now in its fourth year – has become a local tradition.  Providing arts supporters with the opportunity to clean out the clutter in their homes, MAC relies on its generous patrons to donate their household “trash” to let MAC turn it into “treasure.”

Everything at the sale is priced to sell, or best offer, and all proceeds will go directly toward keeping MAC, Morgantown’s community arts and culture center operational.

MAC's Trash to Treasure Sale is scheduled to occur from September 19 – 25 in MAC’s Tanner Theatre. From Monday – Saturday, Trash to Treasure will be held during regular MAC business hours (M-F, 11am – 7pm, Saturday, 11am – 4 pm). On Sunday, Sept. 20, MAC will be open from 1 – 5pm.

MAC is still accepting item donations to the Trash to Treasure Sale and will continue to do so during regular business hours through Friday, Sept. 18. Items donations may be dropped off at MAC (107 High St). MAC hopes that local supporters of the arts will consider contributing to their local community arts center and is also happy to provide a tax receipt for all contributions.
