Monongalia Arts Center works to connect artists to businesses. Many artists have art work languishing in storage units, attics, and studios that could be in circulation or be marketed. Many businesses want to show support for the local arts but may not know where to start or do not want to make a long-term commitment. MAC is here to help.

If you are an artist with excess work to show and/or you do not have the time to promote and market it, work with MAC. MAC will store your work, photograph it, and maintain a portfolio of what is in MAC's archives. Through strategic partnerships and constant communication, MAC rotates local art through local businesses. This gives local artists exposure to audiences who may never set foot in a traditional gallery or not be likely to see local art work in day-to-day life. Local businesses also benefit by showing support for their community and having a bi-monthly change of decor.

Artists can choose to sell work or just keep it in rotation. Artists are also free to pick up work and switch out stock whenever work is not being displayed. Businesses have first option to buy works for sale and participate in the decision making process of what art goes where, as do artists. MAC is sensitive to showing appropriate work for the right businesses and audiences.

Additionally, all artwork - both in rotation and in storage - is catalogued and made available for browsing to interior decorators, designers, patrons, and interested public.
