MAC Senior Showcase
Prospectus 2008

Exhibition Dates – May 23 – June 7

Public Awards Reception -- Friday, May 23, 5:30 – 7:00 pm

Eligibility – All Entries must be original, completed within the past two years, created by an artist 55 years or older.  All paintings, drawings and photographs must be suitably framed,  labeled and wired for hanging.  Drawings, watercolors and photographs must be under glass or plexiglass.  Sculptures, ceramics and textiles must be prepared for display.  All submitted work will be shown; no rejections unless work is improperly prepared for exhibiting or deemed inappropriate by the MAC Board of Directors.  Two entries per person permitted.  Work must be labeled with artist’s name, telephone number, title, medium and selling price, if for sale.

Submission of Entries – Benedum Gallery, Monongalia Arts Center, 107 High Street, Morgantown, WV, Monday, May 19, 2008, 1:00 – 7:00 pm

Return of Entries – Monday, June 9, 11:00 am – 7:00 pm

Awards - Ribbons will be presented for First, Second, and Third Place as well as for People’s Choice.

Judge - Cliff Harvey, retired WVU professor of graphic design, book artist and Master Printmaker.

Commission – A 25% commission will be taken by MAC on all artwork sold.

Liability – All artwork will be given reasonable care; however, neither MAC nor CLIC will be responsible for damage or theft of work displayed.  Therefore, it is suggested that you carry your own insurance.
